# ATT opt-in rate.

Definition

## What it _means._

The ATT opt-in rate is the share of users who grant tracking permission through Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt, with the measured population stated. Permission can enable access to the advertising identifier, but does not by itself guarantee deterministic attribution. Measurement also depends on available signals, integration, and platform rules.

Worked example

## In _practice._

An app tests a clear explanation before the system dialog, timed after a first success moment. The team measures permission choices and verifies whether the available attribution data changes. A higher opt-in rate alone does not establish better campaign performance.
