ATT opt-in rate.

Definition

The canonical answer.

The ATT opt-in rate is the share of iOS users who allow tracking through Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt. It sets how much user-level attribution signal an app has: opted-in users can be measured deterministically, while the rest are measured through aggregate frameworks like SKAdNetwork.

Worked example

In practice.

An app shows a pre-prompt explaining the value exchange before the system dialog, timed after a first success moment rather than at cold start. Opt-in improves, which enriches every downstream system at once: better match rates, better optimization signal, and less reliance on modeled results.
