App Marketing Agencies in North America: Scope and Fees
Choose an app marketing partner around the work your team needs delivered: paid acquisition, app store optimization, creative, measurement or product changes. Bamboo, Gummicube, M+C Saatchi Performance, Moburst and Strataigize offer different combinations. Compare the actual scope, implementation owner and total cost before selecting
An app marketing proposal can leave the hardest part with your team. The agency may identify a weak store listing, produce a new ad, or recommend a paywall test. The purchase changes depending on who will publish each change and measure what happens after
This comparison helps teams buying app marketing for Canada and the United States separate those responsibilities. We reviewed the linked providers’ public pages on September 20, 2026. The companies appear alphabetically, without a quality ranking. Strataigize publishes this article and is one of the providers compared. This is a review of public offers, not a delivery audit or a complete
Five options and what to establish before hiring
| Provider | Scope described on its current website | Useful question for the proposal |
|---|---|---|
| Bamboo | Growth advisory, strategy, leadership and help selecting partners | Who executes the recommendations, and what access or support is included between sessions? |
| Gummicube | ASO, store conversion work, testing, and paid search alongside ASO | Which stores, paid channels, creative assets and tests are included? |
| M+C Saatchi Performance | App marketing, media buying, ASO, creative and measurement | Which regional team owns your account, and which markets and implementation work are covered? |
| Moburst | Mobile strategy, ASO, media buying, creative, product strategy and development services | Which of these services are in the quoted engagement, with what production and development capacity? |
| Strataigize | Acquisition, ASO, creative, paywall and attribution work in a combined program | Does the combined scope address your bottleneck, or would a smaller project be enough? |
Bamboo: senior growth advice
Bamboo’s current offer is advisory for growth leaders, with month-to-month engagements and support from an advisory board. That is useful context for a team with people already running acquisition. Establish whether any execution is included before comparing its quote with an agency managing campaigns. The homepage gives no numeric fee, but Bamboo’s separate AI agent guide still lists $6,000 per month, with changes possible if the scope expands. That guide does not state a currency. Confirm the current fee and currency; the missing homepage figure does not establish that Bamboo withdrew its
Gummicube: ASO and paid search
Gummicube describes store search optimization, conversion work and testing. Its paid-search page explicitly offers Apple Search Ads and Google Ads alongside ASO. Our previous statement that it could not buy media was incorrect. Ask how the proposed paid and organic work share keywords, creative tests and reporting, and who owns changes inside
M+C Saatchi Performance: multiple channels and markets
The agency’s app-marketing page includes app marketing, ASO, media activation, creative and data services. Its site lists offices in Los Angeles and New York alongside other regions. A broad network can be relevant to a multi-market brief, but the proposal must identify the people and capacity assigned to your account. Company size alone does not establish how much attention your
Moburst: marketing, creative and product services
Moburst’s mobile-marketing page extends beyond creative production to ASO, media buying, product strategy and app development. Compare the specific package offered to you. We found no basis in the reviewed source for our earlier claim that its fee scales with production output rather than payback. Ask for the fee basis, deliverables and responsibilities
Strataigize: a combined program or a defined sprint
Our mobile app marketing program combines acquisition, ASO, creative, paywall and attribution work. Our published pricing lists the program from US$10,000 per month, typically US$10,000 to US$18,000. Retainers become month to month after the first three months. Media is separate; we manage programs starting at US$25,000 in monthly advertising spend. A 30-day ASO or creative-testing sprint is
These are our commercial terms, not an industry average or a rule about when an app needs an agency. A team below our media threshold may still need specialist help. A larger budget does not by itself justify a
Compare the total cost and who does the work
We did not establish comparable numeric monthly agency fees from the Gummicube, M+C Saatchi Performance and Moburst pages reviewed here. That does not mean those firms never publish prices or all charge the same way. Request comparable scopes with currencies stated, especially when comparing Canadian and
Have each proposal separate the agency fee, media spend, creative production, software and development costs. Name the initial term, notice period, onboarding work and handover obligations. A monthly fee without those details cannot tell you the cost of getting a
Use the same implementation questions for
- Who edits and publishes the App Store and Google Play listings?
- Who produces the ads and localized store assets, and how many revisions are included?
- Who implements onboarding, paywall and analytics changes inside the app?
- Who approves releases, owns the accounts and can retrieve the underlying reports?
A specialist can be sufficient when your team owns the remaining work. A combined program can help when the missing piece is coordination across several owners. Advisory can be appropriate when execution capacity is already
Evaluate results after the install
For a subscription app, follow activation, trial, paid subscription and renewal. For a game, examine retention and advertising or purchase revenue. A low cost per install does not establish that the acquired users contribute enough to cover acquisition, fees
Ask for evidence from comparable markets and platforms. Keep acquisition dates, revenue windows and attribution settings consistent. Establish whether reported revenue is gross or net of store fees and refunds, and whether the return calculation includes agency costs. A young cohort cannot yet establish a mature
The appropriate test length depends on traffic, the outcome being measured and the app’s purchase cycle. Avoid accepting a universal promise that every store test resolves in weeks or every paid program can be judged after a quarter. The proposal should identify what can be learned early and what requires more time
Plan the Canadian and US journey together
Specify countries, stores, languages and currencies in the brief. If French-speaking users are part of the audience, include the store listing, ad, landing page and in-app journey in the localization plan. Identify who reviews the language and publishes updates after a
For Canadian suppliers and local collaboration, our Canada agency comparison covers a different shortlist. The Vancouver service page explains our local option. If Phiture or Yodel Mobile is already under consideration, use the alternatives comparison for that
Bring each candidate the same product, market, budget and implementation brief. Ask them to price the first problem to solve and name the evidence that would justify the next phase. That gives you a purchasing decision based on work your team needs completed, rather than a ranking or a list
Use the same brief for every proposal
Download our app marketing agency RFP and evidence scorecard. It includes a request for proposal (RFP), seven explicit comparison criteria and a downloadable spreadsheet. The framework is ours, and no agency is pre-scored. Use it to compare Strataigize with the other providers on
