See how your listing actually scores.

Paste the App Store or Play URL. We read the live listing, quote the title, score five categories, name any remaining gap, and name the indexed fields the public page does not expose. No email needed to see any of it.

A store URL is best, because it lets us read the exact listing. A name works too if we can match it in the App Store catalog.

Or read a live listing right now:

The uncomfortable truth

Paid ads cannot fix a leaking listing.

Your app can rank for hundreds of high-intent keywords and still lose the install, because the title, the screenshots, and the reviews are what the shopper actually judges. That is the cheapest thing to fix and the easiest to leave alone for a year. When we rebuilt the store presence for Kleo, a language learning app, downloads rose 127% and store conversion rose 110% inside 30 days. That was one app in one category, not an average, and your listing may have less room in it. This audit tells you where your room actually is.

Questions

ASO audit, answered.

Do I need to give an email to see my score?
No. Your score, all five category scores, the facts we read, the recommendations, and the plan you can run yourself all render on screen with no email address and no sign-up. There is an option at the end to have the printable report emailed to you, and that is the only thing we ask an email for.
How does the audit work?
Paste your App Store or Google Play URL (or the app name). We read the live listing: title, description, screenshots, last update, what is new note, rating, review volume, languages, and developer link. Each of the five categories is scored only from the fields we managed to read, and every recommendation names the actual gap rather than a generic tip. It is a listing-metadata audit, not a rank tracker and not a keyword-difficulty tool.
What happens to a field you cannot read?
It is dropped from the score instead of being counted as a zero. Your score is the share of the points we could actually read, scaled to 100, and the result says which fields went unread and which categories that affected. Google Play is read from its public page and blocks us more often than Apple does, so a Play listing is the most common place you will see an unread field. A confident wrong number would be worse than a smaller honest one.
What is ASO and why does it matter?
App Store Optimization is the work that decides whether your listing gets found and whether the person who finds it installs: the keyword fields, the screenshots, the reviews, and how recently the listing moved. It matters because store search is still where most people go looking for an app, and it is the one acquisition surface you do not rent from an ad platform.
Does this work for iOS and Android?
Yes. An App Store URL is read through Apple’s public lookup, which returns the whole record. A Play URL is read from the public listing page, where some fields are not published and end up labelled unread. Name-only searches use the App Store catalog and ask you to confirm the match when more than one app fits.
What is a good ASO score?
ASO Elite means 75 or above and a full read of all five categories. A high number on a partial read stays Solid base, because unread categories are not a pass. A named category still under 17 of 20 is a remaining gap, not an all-clear. 50 to 74 is a solid base with clear opportunities. Below 50 means real gaps on the listing itself. Those bands are ours for reading the result. They are not an industry benchmark and we do not rank you against other apps, because a store listing does not expose the data that would make that comparison honest.
Why might you not find my app?
Private, region-locked, or brand-new listings sometimes do not appear in the public catalog, and Google Play occasionally blocks the read. When that happens we say so, show no score at all, and give you the same five-category checklist labelled unread instead of inventing a number from your app name.
What title length do you score against?
Both the App Store and Google Play give the title 30 characters. Unused characters are treated as wasted keyword weight. Play also indexes the 80-character short description, which we score only when we can read it off the listing. Apple does not index the App Store description, so we score it for conversion rather than ranking, and Apple does read the caption text inside screenshots, which makes the words on your first three frames ranking surface rather than decoration.
Do you read the iOS subtitle and keyword field?
No. Those two fields are indexed and they are most of the high-weight ranking space after the title, but the public catalog does not publish them. We quote the title we can read, name the subtitle and the 100-character keyword field as unread, and tell you to open App Store Connect and write both down. We do not invent a score for a field we cannot see.
